Carrie Yevonne Patterson went home to the Lord on February 13, 2010 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas after a long illness.
She was born August 28, 1936, near Louann, Ouachita County, Arkansas, to Clarence Earl and Clara Mae Ritchey. Carrie was very talented and enjoyed playing the piano and working with arts and crafts, and sewing to make one-of-a-kind gifts for her family and friends. Carrie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Carrie was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Curtis and Carlton Ritchey, and her sister, Christene Ritchey.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Joseph Dale Patterson, her two daughters, Alice Bowman of Branson, MO and Jean Wilson of El Dorado; a sister, Carlean Butler and husband Bill of DeFuniak Springs, FL; four granddaughters , Tabitha Avant and husband, Timothy and their children Alyssa, Alexander, and Emma Grace of Camden, Crystal Laurant and husband David and their children Abbie Marie, and Brianna of Plano, TX; Janna Rhinehart and her husband Eddie and their children Breihan Thomas, Justin, and Michael of Mablevale, AR and Destiny and her children, Savannah, Michael, Austin, and James of Olympia, WA; one grandson, William Bass and his partner Anita Saint and her children, Mary Beth Carter, Zach Bonds, and Bobby Bonds of El Dorado and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at Young’s Chapel with Bro. Reuben Weaver officiating. Burial will follow at Crossroads Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
