Biography

Lillie Bell Barnes, 92, of El Dorado, passed away Sunday, July 18, 2010 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House.

Born February 5, 1918, in El Dorado to J.J.. Wood and Dora Blake Williams Wood, she was a homemaker and a member of Galilee Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Winfred Barnes; two sisters; and seven brothers.

Survivors include two sons, Joe Henry Thompson and wife Annie of El Dorado and David H. Thompson and wife Jane of Haynesville; three granddaughters, Jennifer Davis and husband Greg, Angela Stratton and husband Michael and Kim Waller and husband Wayne; special niece, Karen Lewis and seven great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 10a.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at Galilee Baptist Church with Bro. Floyd Taylor and Bro. Tommy Millinger officiating. Interment will follow at Smyrna Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

Visitation will be from 6-8pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
